Paolo Alberelli and Mariagrazia Abbaldo are two Turin-born architects and artists who are also partners in life, with four children.
Paolo and Mariagrazia work together, each contributing ideas and competences, and their artworks sometimes result from a clash. The resulting sculptures vary in size and attract clients from all over Europe.
In their studio, a vast space with black walls similar to a foundry, Paolo and Mariagrazia follow a naturalistic oil rouge and sculpt landscapes and animals with an eye towards the balance between land, air, and water. Their sculpture are made with laser and based on a studied mix of melted metals with different oxidation patterns, as small as a jewel or as big as a wall.
